Hello my fellow bloggers! Sorry for the delay in blogs, things have been busy which is good! Trust me. But I have some more that need posting, so they are...just there. In the meantime I need to shamelessly put my project out there. It's totally dependent on donations from you. But I'm not just targeting my friends and family, what I would greatly appreciate is if you sent this link to anyone who you think cares. That way people know about the problems young children encounter here and how most of it is out of their control. So please share share share!

PS: feel free to ask me more about the project...there isn't much info on the website.

Hi,
I'm an RPCV (since Dec 2010, so I'm still holding onto that lifestyle!) and served in Namibia. I'm now starting a nonprofit in the US called Empower Women in Africa. We focus on keeping girls in school and helping women start their own small businesses making and selling reusable cloth menstrual pads. I'd love to learn more about what you're teaching the girls in your village about making their own pads - what materials? hand sewing?
I may have friended you on facebook, hope it was you! If now, please send me an email at Lori@empowerwomeninafrica.com. I'd love to be able to share what we do and what you're working on so we can both benefit.
Thanks!
Lori
